December 9th 2010 will be the day one for “OperAttiva – Creation and fruition: dialogues upon the changes under way”, the new Artescienza edition. 7 full days that will take place in Rome at the Sapienza university and at the FG Tecnopolo ateliers, a new technological hub. Great interpreters, creatives, artists, scholars and public will confront each other about the changes under way in the relationship between who creates art and the audience.

PROGRAM
On December 9th and 10th (7.30 pm – Sapienza University, Faculty of Political, Social and Communication Sciences, 113 Salaria Street) we will have two talkconcerts: the violinist Irvine Arditti (12/9) and the cellist Frances Marie Uitti (12/10) will play and talk to the audience. 4 are the composers chosen by the English man, founder of the Arditti quartet: Cage, Sciarrino, Xenakis and Ferneyhough. The charming Chicago artist, active not just as a performer but also as composer, will instead present works by herself, Kurtag, Scelsi, Cage and Harvey. Arditti and Uitti are among the greatest interpreters of contemporary music. During these days and in the same place, before the concert (4.30-6.30 pm), two meetings with some of the best known sociologists and art historians (but also artists, musicologists, etc.) will provide an evaluation of the ongoing changes about the relationship between users and artworks.

“Changes under way in artistic fruition” (December 9th 4.30 pm) with sociologists Fabrizio Battistelli, Maria Giovanna Musso and Vanni Codeluppi. Daniele Pitteri – marketing expert, Angelo Orcalli – musicologist.
“The keywords of contemporary art: Interactive – Adaptive – Evolutive” (December 10th 4.30 pm) with sociologists Mario Porcellini, Michelangelo Lupone- composer and CRM artistic director, Franco Speroni – art historian, Mario Sasso – artist.
From December 13th to 15th everything moves to Tecnopolo Tiburtino, where adaptive artworks of music/sculpture “In coro” e “Trio” by Michelangelo Lupone and Licia Galizia will be displayed. Meetings with architects, ITC experts and art historians will be hosted inside the artists ateliers.
ArteScienza, directed by composer Laura Bianchini, is produced with support by Ministero per i Beni e le Attività Culturali - Direzione Generale per lo Spettacolo dal Vivo e di Roma Capitale - Assessorato alle Politiche Culturali e della Comunicazione. It make use of experience developed through years of collaboration with Sapienza University of Rome, Department of Social Sciences, Department of Communication and Social Research.
